Research Assistant

Hafsa Usmani completed her BS in Electrical Engineering from National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (FAST-NU) Lahore. She is currently pursuing her masters from Information Technology University Punjab in Computer Science. She is working as a Research Assistant at IPAL(Innovations for Poverty Alleviation Lab) on various projects in the area of ICTD which include: mHealth which aims to improve the readability and usage of child vaccination card by re-designing and digitizing it; VBTS, a project focused on providing 2.5G services to off the grid population, having a rescue based system in case of a disaster and a village app market having apps for daily life in local languages. Her passion is learning about new technologies and keeping herself updated about the latest developments in the technological world.
